Most of the people who attended a book-signing luncheon at Springfield Hall near Fort Parker were no less than spellbound when a Limestone author discussed “Watcher of the Damned,” the first of an 18-book series which she began in 2018.
Mexia police officers responded absit 5:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, to multiple 911 calls about gunfire at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of North Ross Street.
All schools in the Mexia ISD will be released at noon Friday to begin the Christmas holidays.
The Christmas at the Fort Festival at Old Fort Parker got off to a slow start Thursday, Dec. 10, but it all picked up Friday with more than 800 visitors. Most of them were students from area schools representing all grade levels, participating in Education Day.
