Cruz says Texas’ migrant busing exposes hypocrisy of Democrats and media

As Republican governors transport migrants from Texas all over the country, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz said the policies are exposing the hypocrisy of Democrats and the media on their stances on immigration policy. During an interview Saturday with the Washington Examiner’s David Drucker at the Texas Tribune Festival, the Republican from Texas extended an invitation to his political adversaries and the media to visit the southern border, a trip he said they have been avoiding.

This week at Mexia LTC we started off with Bible Study by Irma Carranza on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible Group with Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning. Residents enjoyed the beautiful singing of Jerry Mullen on Tuesday afternoon. Residents will play bean bag toss on Wednesday morning and play bingo that afternoon. Residents will play ring toss on Thursday morning and have their Resident Council meeting that afternoon. Residents will enjoy manicures on Friday morning and play bingo that afternoon.

MISD earns A+ on financial report card

The Mexia Independent School District Board, teachers, faculty and staff joined Superintendent Ryder Appleton in a round of applause during a Tuesday, Sept. 19, meeting, congratulating Finance Director Erika Chapa, for the district’s 2021-2022 A+ rating from Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) rating. The district earned a 96 out of 100 score, qualifying MISD for an A+, which is a superior achievement, on the state’s financial accountability system, Chapa said.
