Believe what you are ‘faithing’ God for

In Paul’s second letter to the Corinthian church, Paul wrote one of the most remarkable verses in the Bible. It’s not long, only eight words in the whole sentence. But it is a verse that has the power to change the whole course of the believer’s life! It’s found in 2 Corinthians 5:7, and it simply says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” What does that mean? What does it mean to “walk by faith”? Turn with me to the Book of Hebrews, and in particular, the first verse of the eleventh chapter. In Hebrews 11:1, the writer said this about faith, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Did you get those two words, “assurance”, and “conviction”? Something that you are “assured” of happening, is something that you “know” is going to happen. And the word “conviction”, means that you have no doubt at all that it is going to take place, that which you are believing, or, faithing God for to happen. It’s about to come into being. It may not be in your grasp yet, but it’s going to be!
