Limestone County commisioners revisited, during their Tuesday, May 28 meeting, an application to sell beer between midnight and 2 a.m. following discussion and feedback from residents of neighboring areas.
With a jam-packed agenda, the MISD board meeting accomplished a great deal. Multiple monthly and yearly updates were provided, including those on curriculum and instruction, sex education curriculum selection, operations and safety, and board reorganization.
Several improvement projects in Mexia are about to start, are nearly finished or already finished, according to City Manager Joshua Barron. Many of the jobs were already in progress before his recent arrival in Mexia, he noted.
Most anglers will agree — give fish some cover and they are sure to come. This is especially true of crappie and bass in aging reservoirs where timber, brush and other natural goodies may have withered away over time.
