Limestone County commissioners and Judge Richard Duncan welcomed the new County Fairgrounds arena director, Tara Hill, at their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 9. The Limestone County Appraisal District is funded pro rata by all the taxing entities within Limestone County. I’m sure your valuations went up, and went up considerably, but when (the Tax Assessor/ Collector Stacy Hall) brings us our total valuation, we can simply adjust our tax rate so that we bring in the same amount of money as last year, give or take a little. When you get your valuation, please go down and talk to them, use the appeal process; they’re very accommodating.”
