Kindness from Case tournament
The Kindness From Case Memorial Foundation golf tournament, Scrambling for Scholarships, on Saturday, June 27, boasted 16 teams raising funds for scholarships for students in Freestone, Limestone and Leon Counties. The scramble was followed by an awards ceremony, raffle, silent auction and lunch.
Dog trainer graduates another obedience class
Another Mexia graduation is planned in about 10 days and is unlikely to require rescheduling. The graduates are a group of ten Mexia dogs that have been going through basic training under the tutelage of longtime dog trainer Marjorie Parks and husband Jim.
