The funeral service for Trooper Chad Walker will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Goat Stadium, 1202 N. Ellis, Groesbeck.

In cooperation with the Department of Public Safety, the Northwest gate (home ticket booth area) and the West gate near the gym/home ticket booth will be open to allow the public to enter the stadium.  All seating will be in the home side bleachers.  Again, by DPS directive, these gates will not open until Walker has been placed on the field, which will be about 9 a.m.

It is requested that only members of the public who desire to be in the funeral processional park at Groesbeck High School. The front parking lot will have limited parking availability (about 350 vehicles).  No handicap parking will be available at GHS. Handicap parking will be available at Groesbeck Middle School. The City of Groesbeck will be closing McClintic Drive to traffic.

The Groesbeck ISD Transportation Department will provide shuttle buses to and from Goat Stadium from four locations: H.O. Whitehurst Elementary, Enge-Washington Intermediate, Groesbeck Middle School  and the Groesbeck City Park/Baseball Complex. These buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts for those in need.

The first shuttle buses will depart their location about 8:10 a.m. The last shuttle buses will leave each location at 9:35 a.m., allowing time for them to arrive at Goat Stadium prior to the beginning of the service. Shuttle buses will not be available during the service.  At the conclusion of the service, the shuttle buses will return attendees to the shuttle sites as soon as Trooper Walker leaves the field.

The graveside service is for family only at LaSalle Cemetery. However, those wishing to view the processional to the cemetery may park at Brooshire’s on East Yeagua St.

KWTX Channel 10 Waco (https://www.kwtx.com/) will livestream the funeral service.
