Nominate your front-line superhero

Several local businesses are working together to select a local front-line worker for National Superhero Day, and they are asking people to help them by nominating someone they think is a good candidate.

“Join us in nominating a front line super hero!” said Andrea Lopez, regional marketing coordinator for three nursing homes who are among those businesses. They include: Mexia Long Term Care, Elara Caring, Texas Home Health, Texas Home Health and Hospice, Reliant Hospice, Angels Care Home Health and Mike Terry Auto Group. 

They all want to show support for the front-line workers in this community.

Until 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, people may nominate a front-line worker by going to Mexia LTC Nursing & Rehabilitation’s Facebook page; click on “events,” which is found on the left side of the page; click on “Nominate your favorite front line hero;” click on “Discussion.” Post the name and picture of that person and give the reason why you are nominating them. 

Front-line workers include physicians, nurses, healthcare workers, EMT’s, firefighters, police, grocery clerks, delivery drivers – any essential worker supporting all of us during this trying time. Nominate your favorite front line workers.

On Tuesday, April 28, which is National Superhero Day, Lopez will draw from the names of nominees. Many prizes will be won, including themed gift baskets.
