Blackcats knock off Fairfield 37-23

Led by its 28 seniors, Mexia traveled to Fairfield on Friday night, Sept. 6, and brought home a 37-23 road win over the Eagles to move to 1-1 on the season. Fairfield’s roster shows a much younger team with only eight seniors listed.

Wortham Bulldogs head into Rio Vista after season-opening win

Mexia will try to notch first win against Fairfield

The Mexia Blackcats will travel Friday, Sept. 6, to Fairfield for a 7:30 p.m. matchup with the Eagles. It will be the second game of the season for both teams.

Mexia Pee Wee Football kicks off season Saturday

The Mexia Community Sports Pee Wee Football and Cheer program will kickoff their season Saturday, Sept. 7, at Teague High School Stadium against Teague.
