Mexia sophomore Prince Banks ripped the cords for 29 points as the Blackcats defeated Palestine, 60-50, in a District 19- 4A basketball game at the Mexia High School gym on Tuesday night.
Earlier this season, Fernando Navarro became the first freshman in Mexia soccer history to record a hat trick. On Tuesday, he did it again.
For more than three quarters it looked like the Mexia girls basketball team would win its third consecutive game Tuesday night.
Four Mexia football players signed letters of intent Wednesday to continue their educations and football careers in college.
