Mexia took an early lead, but China Spring exploded for two big innings and defeated the Ladycats, 19-7, in Mexia’s final regular-season home game Tuesday at Ladycat Field.
Italy jumped on Wortham in the first inning and never let up on its way to a 23-3 softball victory at Wortham on Tuesday. The game was stopped after three innings due to the 15-run mercy rule.
Wortham erupted for seven runs in the fifth inning to snap a 4-4 tie en route to a 13-4 victory over Dawson on Tuesday.
Property owners will soon receive appraisal notices from the Limestone Appraisal District. The district will mail these notices April 30. The city, county, school district and other local taxing units will use the appraisal district’s values to set the 2021 property taxes.
