Patsy “Pat” C. Pittman, 91, long-time resident of Mexia, traded her earthly body for a heavenly one on Jan. 2, 2021, in Nacogdoches. Funeral services were to be held at First Baptist Church on Tuesday, Jan. 5, with the Rev. Marcus Sheffield and the Rev. Christopher Hurst officiating. Visitation was to be at 1:30 p.m., and services were to begin at 2 p.m., and interment was to follow the services in the Mexia Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were to be Duke Pittman, Robert P. Hurst, Christopher Hurst, Timothy Lowe, Bobby Forrest, Benjie Reed and Bobby Lide. Honorary pallbearers were to include Dr. John McCall, Dr. Norman Hinkle, Terry Reed, Dr. Mike Pickering, and Dr. Glenn Ellisor.

Richard Bond Kerzee, former Mexia businessman, passed away at his home on Jan. 1, 2021, at the age of 84. Graveside services were held Sunday, Jan. 3, in the Point Enterprise Cemetery, with the Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Brett Beene, Chet Beene, Johnny Ingram, Neil Dancer, James Pullin and Richard Kerzee served as pallbearers.

Chester Augustus Seelinger, of Mexia, passed away Jan. 1, 2021, in College Station, at the age of 80. Funeral services were to be at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 4, at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Shane Norcross and the Rev. Rick Gray officiating. Interment would follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Scott Condon, Clinton Condon, Anthony Farris, Tommy Vaughan, Brett Kennedy and Kevin Vest were to serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were to be Men of Calvary Baptist Church and Bubba Carter.
