Johnny Dale Moore

Johnny Dale Moore passed away Dec. 25, 2019, in Mexia at the age of 60.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Chaplain Karen Hulsey officiating.  Interment will follow in the North Creek Cemetery near Centerville.

Johnny was born May 30, 1959, in Fairfield to Otist Jodie and Opal Ruth Ellis Moore.  He has lived in the Mexia area for almost 20 years.  He was presently employed as a med aide for the Mexia State Supported Living Center and had been working there for 26 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his job and those he cared for were special to him.

Johnny loved his family which included a special kitty, Callie Sue.  Gardening and growing flowers were his favorite pastime.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jodie and Opal Ruth Moore; and a nephew, James Wesley Bell.

Johnny is survived by his brother, Jodie Moore of Mexia; sister, Donna Bell and husband Robert of Mexia; two nephews, Travis Duane Bell and Pam Johnson and Robert Otist Bell; great-nephew, Robert Otist Bell Jr.; and great niece, Maggie Johnson; and his beloved cat, Callie Sue.
