GLENDA KAY BOYD

Glenda Kay Boyd, of Teague, passed away on May 3, 2022, in Waco at the age of 74. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in the Wortham Cemetery.

Glenda was born March 3, 1948, in Abilene, to Willie Glynn Ford and Ovada Jones. She was no stranger to hard work. Glenda’s love for nature and country living was evident. She enjoyed horseback riding, camping, fishing and collecting jewelry. She was easy going and always maintained a positive attitude, respected people and treated everyone like she wanted to be treated.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Glynn Ford; and mother, Ovada Jones.

Glenda is survived by her husband, Robert James Boyd; daughters, Rachell Boyd Pope and husband Shawn, and Amanda Hall Harris; son, Jason Carr; grandchildren, Luke Carr, Ava Carr, Cannon Pope, Mallory Switzer, Chelsea Williams and husband Kevin, and Cole Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Casen Hunt, Masen Hunt and Rowdy Richards; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Glenda’s family would like memorials to be made to LARA’s House or any animal shelter of choice.
