Billie Gene McDonald Jr., known to family as “Bubba” and many friends as “Scooter,” passed away on July 26, 2018, after a long hard fought battle against cancer with his closest family members fighting right along his side.

Billie was born June 28, 1949, to Mr. and Mrs. Billie Gene McDonald Sr. in Mexia. He was a native of Shiloh. Billie went to Shiloh School and Mexia High School.

He is preceded in death by his father, Billie Gene Mc-Donald Sr. of Shiloh; grandparents, Cecil and Susie Mc-Donald of Shiloh; and grandparents, Clyde and Novell Talley of Sherman.

He is survived by his mother, Zarine McDonald of College Station; his sister, Theresa Herin and spouse Scotty of Millican; his brother, Terry McDonald Sr. and spouse Pat Nemec of Humble; and granddaughter, Shiloh Simmons of Houston.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Blair Stubbs Funeral Home with Pastor Aubrey Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 pm. Friday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.

He is also survived by three daughters, Leah, Traci and Hollie McDonald.
