Alvin Wayne Chapman

Alvin Wayne Chapman passed away Oct. 29, 2018, in Groesbeck, at the age of 58.  A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Lost Prairie Cemetery.

Alvin was born Jan. 4, 1960, in Fort Worth to Alvin Wayne and Linda Louise Smith Ridding.  He worked in the oilfield for many years.  Alvin had an outgoing personality, always upbeat and enjoyed life to the fullest.  If anyone was feeling down and came into his presence, they usually went away with a different and much better frame of mind.  Alvin seem to have a “nak” when it came to lifting people’s spirits.

Alvin loved nothing more than being surrounded by his family; they were his pride and joy. He also enjoyed being outdoors, especially, hunting and fishing.  One of his family’s favorite memories of him is how much he loved German chocolate cake.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra Horn Chapman; and granddaughter, Lexus Koncaba.

Alvin is survived by his children, Christina Ray and significant other, Mike Danz, of Groesbeck, and Timothy Chapman of Mexia; granddaughter, Brianna Ray of Groesbeck; and sister, Billie Burris and husband, Robbie, of Florida.
