IVY PATRICE HUTCHERSON WILLIAMS

Ivy Patrice Hutcherson Williams was born on Feb. 22, 1960, to Barbara Broussard and Corneille Hutcherson in Austin. She was the younger of two siblings. At a young age she was baptized and became a member of St. Luke Baptist Church in Eunice, La. Patrice graduated from High School and acquired an Associate Degree from a junior college in Hobbs, New Mexico. She later moved to Mexia and married Richard Williams.

Patrice joined Sweet Home Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She also served as Announcement Clerk until her health failed. Her favorite hobbies were working at Whataburger and going to garage sales. She passed away on Sept. 26, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Stephanie Holloman, and father, Corneille Hutcherson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories: her mother, Barbara Devereaux; stepfa ther, John Devereaux; daughter Chauncey Hutcherson; son Keizer Williams; granddaughter Albany; grandson Kashton; and great-grandson Josiah; stepsisters Wynell Crawford, Janice Bailey (Herb); Phyllisia Washington (Dwayne); stepbrothers Brady Devereaux (Angie) and Paul Devereaux (Katawna); nieces Kwanza Jackson and Rossilyn Ross; nephew Chondler Hollomon; significant other Samuel Proctor; special cousins from Tyler; and a host of relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. at Sweet Home Baptist Church of Mexia.
