The Jonathan Hardin Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution is thankful for all our veterans who have served in all branches of military service.
Groesbeck American Legion Post 288 is currently having a raffle for a Henry “Golden Boy” .22 L.R. Rifle. The raffle will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, you need not be present to win. This week at Mexia LTC we started the week with Bible study provided by Irma Carranza on Monday morning. Residents played bingo that afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible group with Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning.
No one is yet charged in the murder of a Mexia man on Sept. 8, 2022, at the Best Western hotel, but the case is still active, according to Capt. Bobby Coslin of the Mexia Police Department.
