10 a.m.-noon – The Freestone County Art League will meet at the Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, 1001 N. 8th Avenue in Teague. The program will be wellknown Texas artist Larry Prellop, from Salado. Prellop will demonstrate his painting style and explain his work in detail. Members are encouraged to bring or invite a guest. The meeting is open to anyone interested in art.

Conference attendees take what they learned to community

At least 15 people attended the Not in My City Seminar on human trafficking last month, not only learning about human trafficking but then going into the community to distribute posters with information about human trafficking to local businesses so potential victims can read the vital information and get a hotline number they could access to get help.
