The BT Blowout honors the late Bryan "BT" Thornton, one of the founding members of the band Diamondback TX, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in March 2016.

Saldana has lived in her home for only three years, but has amassed a bounty of spring blooming annuals and shrubs. She said she finds most of her plants at traditional “big box” stores, and reports that roses are her favorite in the garden.
