The challenges of the past year have made it difficult to celebrate some of life’s milestones, but one local family was able to do just that as Mexia resident Ruby Faye McClaran celebrated her 101st birthday with her family and friends at the Shiloh Community Center, Saturday May 29th.
World War II veteran Jack Klinger, 97, a resident of Mexia’s The Manor nursing home, got a surprise visit and gift from a Utah couple temporarily staying in Prairie Hill on a service mission.
A longtime Waxahachie ISD IT expert has accepted the position of assistant superintendent of operations and instructional technology at Mexia ISD.
