Fifteen-year-old Emery Black has been interested in ranching for most of her life, early on watching her father taking care of the livestock at their home in Dew.
An altercation last week in the parking lot of a Mexia convenience store ended in a two-vehicle wreck, gunfire, a chase and another wreck of the same two vehicles farther up the street.
