This year’s Limestone County Master Gardeners class members are working toward completing their 50 hours of training. The group has attended classes on subjects such as plant growth and development, plant pathology, soil, turf grass, vegetable gardening, water, pesticides and entomology. They will soon begin their 50 hours of volunteer services in Limestone County.
Coolidge Elementary School recognized its Good Citizens for the 5th six weeks. These students exhibited good behaviors, such as pride for their community, volunteering to help others, honesty, following rules, sharing and showing respect to others.
Nurses put in long hours as they work tirelessly to advocate for their patients. While any time of year is an opportunity to thank the nurses in our lives, there are various events throughout the year that pay special homage to these hardworking professionals.
