Council finalizes proposed budget, tax rate

Mexia City Council approved some last-minute changes to the proposed city budget for Fiscal Year 2021-22 and also agreed to the final proposed property tax rate of $0.8409 before turning them over to the city secretary at Tuesday night’s meeting.
