Last week in my daily Ponderings from Point Enterprize, which circulates on the internet and Facebook, I included a photo of my wife Pam and me in the H-E-B store with two carts full of food as we were getting ready for Thanksgiving.

A dedication ceremony to commemorate the Texas Historical Commission recognizing the Dr. Josiah T. Sloan Homestead as a significant part of Texas history will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at 202 Main St. in Tehuacana.
