(StatePoint) With students across the country returning to the classroom and adults returning to the workplace and gathering in person, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) predicts that the second flu season of the COVID-19 pandemic will be significantly more active than last year.
District Judge Deborah Oakes Evans, 87th Judicial District, announced she will not run for re-election to a sixth term. Judge Evans was elected in November 2002, beginning her service on January 1, 2003. Her current term ends December 31, 2022. The 87th Judicial District is composed of Anderson, Leon, Freestone and Limestone Counties.
The Limestone County 4-H organizations offer a smorgasbord of opportunities for students from kindergarten through the 12th grade. And while students can register throughout the year, October is an especially important sign-up time for the organization.
