Wrangler NFR bareback riding champion Kade Sonnier, who placed third in the world in 2023, was in Mexia at the Farm House for dinner recently. He was visiting Patty Manley, who is the aunt of his fiancée, Sonora Schueneman. Sonnier, 24, has won titles in Lafayette, La., and Lake Charles, La., and in Columbus, Ga., so far in 2024. His career earnings are $278,045.
Mark Burk made a hole-in-one recently on Hole 2 at Tri-County Golf Club at The Vineyards. He used a 4 iron from 168 yards out. Randy Stroade witnessed the shot.
