Wortham High School sent 31 students to Axtel, March 21, to compete in the District 2A UIL Contest. Out of those participants, 15 are advancing to Region UIL.

The Mexia Independent School District school board recognized employees and students of the month, discussed renewing the energy provider contract and hiring an assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, during its regular meeting Monday, March 28.
If the first half of Mexia’s regional quarterfinals boys soccer match against Royal was any indication, the contest was going to be a shootout.
