This week at Mexia LTC we started the week off with Bible study on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible group with Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning. Residents had their residents’ council meeting and enjoyed ice cream sundaes on Tuesday afternoon.

Success stories encourage students to continue educational journey

People in Limestone County who want to improve their English-speaking skills or prepare to take a high school equivalency test will have a convenient way to do just that starting later this month using free classes being offered at Navarro College South. The cost of the courses is being funded by the Texas Workforce Commission so students may take the classes at no charge, and study materials are provided.

Runoff election is here

Texans voted in the primary elections in March, but not every race had a definitive winner. Early voting for the primary runoff election to confirm candidates for certain races began Monday, May 16. The last day of early voting is Friday, May 20, and Election Day is Tuesday, May 24.
