This week at Mexia LTC we started off playing bean bag toss on Monday morning. Residents played bingo on Monday afternoon. Residents enjoyed Bible Group with Bob Kersten on Tuesday morning. Residents had their Residents’ Council Meeting and enjoyed ice cream sundaes on Tuesday afternoon.

Jeanette Merritt, 7th District Commander of the American Legion Department of Texas, served in the Army as a medic from 1969 to 1972. Back then, women in the military were told they shouldn’t be there, Merritt said.
