President Franklin Roosevelt secretly signed an executive order in early April 1942 that allowed American aviators to join Claire Chennault’s volunteers in China.

In the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 15, Jesus is teaching the people and some tax collectors and sinners are gathering around, getting closer and closer, making themselves quite comfortable, so that they can hear him better. And off to the side are the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, muttering amongst themselves about this. They accuse Jesus of fellowshipping with sinners, and they don’t think that he should. So Jesus told them this parable.
