Mexia Baseball Association 2010 Sign-Ups
The Mexia Baseball Association will be conducting signups for the upcoming 2010 Baseball Season. Any children that live in Mexia or attend Mexia schools Age 4 – 16 are eligible to participate in our program. Cost to participate this year will be $40 per child ($45 for Junior Girls/Sophomore Boys). All players must have an Official copy of their Birth Certificate on file with the Association. (This must be the Courthouse version of the player’s birth certificate. Hospital certificates are not acceptable)
The Signup Dates are as follows:
March 6th—9am – 11am—Baseball Concession Stand
March 13th—8am – 11am—Baseball Concession Stand
Tryouts: March 13th
Girls Tryouts (Age 9-16)—1pm—Girls Softball Field
Machine Pitch Boys (Age 7-8)—1pm—T-Ball Field (Field #1)
Senior Midget Boys (Age 9-10)—1pm—Sr Midget Field (Field #3)
Freshman Boys (Age 11-12)—1pm—Middle Field (Field #2)
***No Signups will be taken after Saturday March 13th***
*Signup forms will also be available at all Little Dribbler Basketball Games or by contacting the Board President Brian Hullum (254-625-2899) or Vice President Jeffrey Proctor (254-747-0174) through March 13th.*
Wortham Baseball Association 2010 Sign-Ups
Wortham Baseball Association will have the 2010 baseball season sign-ups in the Wortham School Cafeteria on the Tuesday, March 2nd from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
The March 2nd sign-up date is the final opportunity to register your child.
**Players must live in wortham or attend Wortham ISD **
NO forms will be accepted after March 2nd at 8:00p.m.
**If a team does not have enough players sign-up to fill a roster in certain age group, then that age group will stay open past the final sign-up date until a full roster is made. All other age groups that have a full roster at the March 2nd date will be closed. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Coaches: There will be a coaches meeting on Thursday, March 4th in the Wortham School cafeteria at 6:00p.m. If you are interested in coaching a team, please attend this meeting. Practice times and Rosters will be selected at this time.
The WBA MUST have a certified copy of your child’s birth certificate (court house copy). New players must provide a copy at the sign-up time; you will not be able to register if one is not provided. The WBA has copies of the players from last year on file.
**Special Note: The WBA will only be responsible for forms and fees turned in at the official sign-ups. Do not turn in forms at the school.

March the 11, 2010, Thursday, Mexia High School will host the 4th Annual Scotty Neal Relays named after the late Scott Neal. There will be a $ 2.00 charge at the gate with all proceeds going to the Scott Neal Scholarship Fund. Our boys and girls track teams have been working hard and we encourage everyone to come out and support the Ladycats and Blackcats. Below you will find the schedule for the field events and running events.

Mexia Little Dribblers to host Regional Tourney March 25-27
The Mexia Little Dribblers Youth Organization will be hosting the Boys 2010 Little Dribblers Tournament in Mexia March 25-27, 2010. There will be 15 teams of ages 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 competing for 3 days. Teams from Mexia, Tyler, Jacksonville, Waco, and Athens. Mexia will have three teams competing in the Regional Tournament trying to win and advance to the big National Tournament in Fairfield, Texas in April of 2010.

12 & Under Select Baseball
The CenTex Rattlers 12 & Under Baseball team is now looking for players that are interested in playing competitive tournament baseball.

The team will be based out of Fairfield.
